Oberneumais is a district of the city of Regen in the Lower Bavarian district of Regen . Until 1972 it formed an independent municipality.

Oberneumais is located in the rain depression about three kilometers southwest of Regen.
history
Oberneumais formed a chairman and in 1752 consisted of six properties. 1,821 were in the wake of the municipality edict the church Oberneumais from parts of the tax districts Schlossau , March and Weissenstein formed. When the patrimonial court in Au was dissolved in 1840 and the subjects were subordinated to the Regen district court, the lordly community of Reinhartsmais , to which Schlossau belonged, was merged with the district court community of Oberneumais. On May 30, 1854, the State Ministry of the Interior ordered the unification of the communities Reinhartsmais and Oberneumais to form the political community of Oberneumais.
In 1964, the municipality included the villages of Oleumhütte, Augrub, Finkenried, Frauenmühle, Kagerhof, Kühhof, Metten, Reinhartsmais, Rohrbach, Schlossau and Oberneumais. 505 inhabitants lived on 1.241 hectares of community area. The municipality of Oberneumais was incorporated into the district town of Regen on January 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . All parts of the parish belong to the parish of Regen in pastoral care.
