Rinchnachmündt is a village and district of the city of Regen in the Lower Bavarian district of Regen . Until 1978 it formed an independent municipality.

location

The town, which is characterized by agriculture, is located at an altitude of 530 meters about two kilometers east of Regen near the confluence of the Rinchnacher Ohe in the Regener See .

history

The "Rimchenamunde" located on the Böhmweg was first mentioned in 1254 in the tax register of Abbot Hermann von Niederaltaich , along with Poschetsried ("Parschalchesride") and Schweinhütt ("Swinhutte") . It has formed its own community since the 19th century, to which, in addition to Schweinhütt, Bettmannsäge , Dreieck, Neigerhöhe, Riedham, Wieshof and the Huberhof belonged.

In contrast to Schweinhütt on Bundesstrasse 11 and Bettmannsäge on the Bavarian Forest Railway , the somewhat remote Rinchnachmündt remained a quiet village. The village chapel with roof turret was built in 1861.

On April 1, 1964, the hamlets Neigerhöhe, Riedham and Wieshof as well as the wasteland Huberhof (a total of 188 hectares of community space) came to the city of Regen. In the course of the municipal reform , the remaining municipality of Rinchnachmündt with 1181 hectares and 939 inhabitants fell to the district town on May 1, 1978 .
