Salmo 2014

Salmo (Italian for " Psalm "; born June 29, 1984 in Olbia , Sardinia , as Maurizio Pisciottu ) is an Italian rapper .

Career

Pisciottu began rapping at the age of 13, and in 1999 he recorded his first demos such as Premeditazione e dolo . Between 2004 and 2008 he performed with the band Skasico and released three albums with them. He also presented the demos Sotto pelle (2004) and Mr. Antipatia (2005). Between 2008 and 2011, however, he worked with the hardcore punk band Toedgein , producing the albums Toedgein and Shell Shock .

From 2011 the rapper worked with DJ Harsh, who produced his experimental debut album The Island Chainsaw Massacre . Salmo's second album, Death USB , was released in 2012 on his newly founded label Tanta Roba . In 2013 the rapper had his commercial breakthrough with the album Midnite , which reached number one on the Italian charts. The previous single Russell Crowe had also hit the charts. After a deluxe edition of the album and a successful tour, Salmo presented a live album with SALMO Documentary .

This was followed by a mixtape at the Machete Empire label, co-founded by Salmo in 2012, and a collaboration with the rapper Ensi . With the single 1984 Salmo reported back as a soloist at the end of 2015. The successful single introduced the next album Hellvisback , which was released on the major label Sony in 2016 and again topped the charts . In 2017 he presented the song Estate dimmerda , a satirical summer hit , and at the end of the year he landed a number one hit with Perdonami .

The album Playlist also peaked at the top of the charts at the end of 2018, as did the two singles 90min and Cabriolet , the latter in collaboration with Sfera Ebbasta .
