Saltwater: Atomic Shark is a 2016 American animal horror film directed by AB Stone . It stars as Rachele Brooke Smith , Jeff Fahey and David Faustino .

action

The action takes place predominantly on the California coast near San Diego . A large shark appears on the beach. Bathers who come too close to the radioactive shark catch fire and burn. So the shark causes carnage on the beach. At first, the connection between the burning people and the shark is denied. Only a few on-site lifeguards want to get to the bottom of the real cause.

The lifeguards soon teamed up with a film crew to report on what happened in order to hunt the shark. In order to get the support of the government, they collect evidence, but the government tries to cover up something.

The film premiered on July 24, 2016 on Syfy . The original title is Saltwater . In Germany, the film was released under the title Saltwater: Atomic Shark or Atomic Shark for short . This and a similar action often leads to confusion with the also appeared in 2016 movie Atomic Shark by Lisa Palenica .

criticism
