Career

Salvatore Amirante on the ball in his last game for Jena before his release

Amirante played for Sampdoria Genoa in his youth . He later ran for the FS Sestrese Calcio 1919 in the D series .

In spring 2007 he completed a trial training with the amateurs of VfB Stuttgart , in summer 2007 Salvatore Amirante moved to the Challenge League at FC Schaffhausen . Here he played eight of the first ten second division games and scored two goals before tearing an inner ligament in his ankle and was out until the end of the year. After the winter break he came back to the team, made another 13 appearances and two goals. At the end of the season he finished sixth in the table with Schaffhausen.

In the summer of 2008 he and his teammate Hervé Bochud moved to FC Carl Zeiss Jena in the 3rd division in Germany. On August 9, 2009 Salvatore Amirante scored four goals within 28 minutes against the second team of Bayern Munich on the third matchday of the 2009/10 season . FC Carl Zeiss Jena won the game 6-0. On October 11, 2009, his contract was terminated without notice by the club. After the elimination in the state cup game against ZFC Meuselwitz , he is said to have behaved in a grossly unsportsmanlike manner towards fellow players and opponents and in an unacceptable manner towards officials of the club. After the election of the new club president Hartmut Beyer, Amirante's resignation was withdrawn on November 26, 2009, but the striker refused to continue working with the club. As a result, the club and players agreed to terminate the contract on December 31, 2009.

In January 2010 Amirante signed a contract with the NRW league club TSV Germania Windeck . After TSV's forced relegation to the Middle Rhine League, Amirante returned home to Italy in the summer of 2011 and was under contract with ASD Scafati Santa Maria Calcio. On August 11, 2011, Amirante was signed by the Savona 1907 FBC . He currently plays for FC Viktoria Köln in the fourth-class Regionalliga West .
