The Salzbrunnengraben is the northwestern source river of the Bruckbach near Westheim in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district in Central Franconia .

The salt well rises at a height of 480  m above sea level. NN northwest of the core town of Ostheim next to a dirt road from Galgenberg, which he then follows between fields in its natural valley basin in the direction of the village. At its confluence with the St 2218 on the northern edge of Ostheim, it crosses under this state road and now runs through Ostheim on the second half of its course, channeled. The salt fountain ditch flows at an altitude of 463  m above sea level. NN in Ostheim on the corner of Dorfstrasse / Ostheimer Hauptstrasse with the noticeably longer and much more catchment area-rich Buchgraben to the Bruckbach coming from the northeast .

Another field path ditch runs down from the left slope to the salt well ditch on its ditch section in the corridor.
