Heinrich Albrecht von Köller

Heinrich Albrecht von Köller (* 1704 in Reckow, Cammin district , † February 14, 1761 in Köslin ) was a Prussian major .

Life

Heinrich Albrecht von Köller was a member of the Pomeranian noble family von Köller .

career

Köller entered Prussian service in 1722 , was a cadet and in 1728 went to the “Anhalt” infantry regiment as an ensign . In 1731 he was promoted to second lieutenant and in 1736 to prime lieutenant , in 1741 to staff captain and that same year on 24 October to the real captain .

His further career was overshadowed by a petition to the king on September 23, 1754 , in which he expressed that he felt he had been left out in the order of promotion. The king rejected the petition, but Köller remained inclined and transferred him on October 18, 1756 as a major to the former Saxon infantry regiment "Loen" . At the same time he received the command over a Grenadier - battalion consisting of the grenadier companies of the regiments "Horn" and "Plothow" was composed. With this battalion he acted during the Seven Years' War especially against the Swedes in Pomerania , where he was very successful. For his work he received the order Pour le Mérite on January 9, 1761 . He died of a gunshot wound after successfully taking Kosline.

From 1740 to 1750 Köller was heir to Görke in the Greiffenberg district .

family

Heinrich Albrecht was married to a von Köller from the Reckow family with whom he had a daughter. Deviating from this, his wife is said to have been born von Körbener from Dessau .
