history

The ferry was built in 1975 under hull number 29 at the Norwegian shipyard Blaalid Slip & Mek. Verksted built in Raudeberg . The keel was laid in January and the launch in August 1975. The ship was completed in December 1975.

Route and travel time

The ferry operates on route 56 between Klaksvík and Syðradalur . The crossing takes 20 minutes.

Technical specifications

The ferry is of two four-cycle - six cylinder - Diesel engines of motor Grenaa factory (type: 6F24) driven. The motors act on two controllable pitch propellers . A shaft generator and a diesel generator are available for power generation.
