After graduating, he worked as an IT security consultant / manager for many years until he became a full-time author in 2017. Boris Lüdtke is married and has three grown children.

Becoming an author

Out of sheer desire to write, Boris Lüdtke wrote his first short stories at the age of twelve. He discovered his love for fabulous worlds a few years later after reading the high fantasy epic The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien . He found further inspiration in the works of old masters of fantasy such as Robert Asprin , George RR Martin and Joe Abercrombie . Since then, fantasy with humor and depth has been an integral part of his life. Today he says of himself: Fortunately, I never really grew up.

His successes include the high-fantasy series Die Krosann-Saga in 6 volumes (2014-2016) and the series Der Grave Digger's Son, which ended on November 1, 2018 with volume 4 (2017 and 2018). To date, Feuerbach has published his works both as e-books and as paperback and audio books. All audio books were produced by Audible GmbH with Robert Frank as the speaker. In addition, Feuerbach published the first four volumes of the Krosann saga with Werner Fuchs (publisher) as bound FanPro editions. With the number of published buyer reviews (approx.25,000 ratings as of December 2019) on Audible and Amazon and an average rating of 4.8 with a maximum of 5 stars, Sam Feuerbach proves to be one of the most popular fantasy authors in German-speaking countries.

Together with the science fiction author Thariot ( pseudonym ) he writes thrillers . The two trilogies EchtzeiT and Instabil have been published as an eBook and as a paperback. All volumes of the trilogy Unstable , The past has not happened yet , The present is just a house of cards and The Future is Yesterday's Snow was published in 2019 as audio books, read by Robert Frank and produced by Ronin Hörverlag Erlangen. The 3-part thriller series EchtzeiT by Sam Feuerbach and Thariot has also been licensed by Ronin Hörverlag. The first volume Sorrow Knows No Sunday was published in February 2020, also here with Robert Frank as the speaker.

In October 2018, Sam Feuerbach received the renowned German Fantastic Prize (DPP) in the category “Best German-language audio book 2018” for The Grave Digger's Son, Volume 1, together with the audio book speaker Robert Frank and Audible GmbH . Audible published the audio book in 2017. Sam Feuerbach and Robert Frank accepted the award together in Berlin.

The author is currently working on the multi-part fantasy saga entitled The Jugglers Chronicles , of which the first volume The Thief and the Mercenary as an e-book, paperback and audio book in 2019, and the second volume The Whore and the Mercenary as Audiobook was published in March 2020. The e-book and paperback editions will follow at the end of June 2020. The two audio books already published were read in by Robert Frank and produced by Audible GmbH .
