The Ronin Hörverlag is a German audio book publisher based in Erlangen . It was founded in 2012 and is headed by Stanley Schäfer.

The productions include "Daemon" and "Darknet" by Daniel Suarez , the "Nexus" trilogy by Ramez Naam and the "Weitseher" trilogy by Robin Hobb .

In 2012 Stanley Schäfer founded Ronin Hörverlag and produced the first four tracks in the in-house studio. In the following year and in 2014, the number of publications increased to nine each, including some bestsellers, spoken by David Nathan , Uve Teschner and Matthias Lühn . Since 2015, 15 to 20 new titles have come onto the market every year.

The publisher had published a total of 100 productions by the end of April 2019.

Ronin Hörverlag only produces audio books (as downloads and compact disks ), primarily in the field of fiction. The offer consists of titles from the genres Fantasy , Thriller , Science Fiction , Dystopia and Crime .

Bestselling authors such as Haruki Murakami , Margaret Atwood , Pierce Brown , Sam Feuerbach , Elizabeth Hand, Daniel Suarez , Ramez Naam and Scott Lynch are represented with their works in the Ronin Hörverlag program. These include audio books like Hard-Boiled Wonderland , Oryx and Crake , 12 Monkeys , Red Rising and the "Nexus" trilogy.

The three volumes of Robin Hobb's “Weitseher” cycle were published in 2016 by the publisher. Part 1 took third place in the Audible annual charts in the science fiction and fantasy categories.

To match the fabrics, Ronin Hörverlag relies on changeable, expressive and versatile speakers. In addition to David Nathan , Robert Frank , Uve Teschner , Matthias Lühn and Marco Sven Reinbold, there are the voices of actors such as Carsten Wilhelm and Roman Shamov and of speakers such as Dagmar Bittner and Umut Dirik.

Around 20 new productions appear annually. These are available as downloads as well as compact discs and streaming.
