Sabine Carbon

Sabine Carbon (* 1963 in Schweinfurt ) is a German documentary filmmaker and writer .

Life

Sabine Carbon grew up in Schweinfurt and later in Landsberg . After graduating from high school, she studied German language and literature , archeology, and prehistory and early history in Munich and from 1986 in Berlin . During her studies she wrote film reviews for the Berliner Tagesspiegel . After completing her studies, Carbon initially worked in an architecture office. After doing an internship at a television station, she started making documentaries .

She made films about Berlin-Wannsee (2002), Berlin-Schöneberg (2003), Berlin-Mitte (2005) and Berlin-Tegel (2008) for the TV series Bilderbuch der ARD , as well as a film about Harry Graf as part of the German CV series Kessler (2005). In 2008 she portrayed the playwright Moritz Rinke and in 2009 the actor Uwe Ochsenknecht for the TV channel Arte's Mein Leben series and in 2010 the entertainer Helge Schneider for Germany, your artists . In 2015 she made a film about the fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli .

In addition, Sabine Carbon has been a writer since 2003 and writes children's books.
