Mira Valentin (born April 9, 1977 in Wertingen , actually Regina Käsmayr ) is a German journalist , high fantasy , urban fantasy , crime and non-fiction author .

Regina Käsmayr attended high school in Wertingen after primary school until she graduated from high school. From 1996 to 1998 she was a trainee with the Catholic Sunday newspaper Rottenburg-Stuttgart and completed an apprenticeship at the Catholic School of Journalism ifp in Munich. As a part-time job she trained as a riding instructor and worked for half a year as a riding instructor during riding and music holidays in Denmark. In 2000 she became editor of the equestrian magazine Cavallo . In 2001 she switched to X-MAG , a youth magazine in the Catholic Media Association , as an editor , and in the course of her work there, she traveled to over 30 countries for international reports. As an author, she still draws on the experiences and impressions she gained today. Käsmayr has been working as a freelance journalist and book author since 2007.

The author lives with her family in Dautphetal, Hesse .

Career as an author

In December 2015 her debut, the urban fantasy book series Talente , appeared under the pseudonym Mira Valentin , published by Carlsen Verlag under the label Bittersweet, later Impress, as an e-book and in March 2016 as a paperback . In March 2017, Valentin self-published the first part of the Enyador saga , the second part was published as an e-book in December of the same year and as a paperback in January 2018. The first two books in the Enyador series - "The Legend of Enyador" and "The Guardians of Enyador" - were published as audio books (read by Robert Frank , produced by Audible Studios ) in late 2018 and early 2019 . Volumes 3 and 4, The Flames of Enyador and The Legacy of Enyador , appeared in April and May 2019.

The Enyador series is currently being translated into the Korean language and will be published by Silence Books in South Korea in 2019.

The author received the "Kindle Storyteller Award" for self-publishers at the 2017 Frankfurt Book Fair for her youth book Der Mitreiser und die Überfliegerin .

Another crime thriller by the author appeared in March 2019 with HOCHDORF - Hasse Your Neighbor , this time under the pseudonym Kim Roberts .

She is known in the authoring scene primarily for her striking cosplays at book fairs and readings. Together with a number of readers, she usually appears in public as one of her book characters.

The Weltenbauer³ group of authors

Together with the fantasy authors Sam Feuerbach and Greg Walters , Mira Valentin forms the authors' association Die Weltenbauer³ .
