The collection drupe is a special fruit shape , located in along the bulging floral axis from the numerous carpels one small drupe develops. These individual stone fruits adhere to each other and thereby form the collective stone fruit, which as a rule detaches as a whole when the fruit is ripe. This fruit shape occurs mainly in plants of the Rubus genus .
