Samuel Tsegay
Samuel Tsegay (born February 24, 1988 in Kudofelasi ) is an Eritrean long-distance runner .
In 2005, Tsegay finished 17th in the junior race of the World Cross Country Championships in Saint-Galmier . In the following two years he was eighth. In 2006 he was second in the 10,000 meter run at the East African Junior Championships and fourth at the World Junior Athletics Championships in Beijing .
Tsegay first appeared in the adult sector in 2009. At the Cross Country World Championships in Edinburgh , he finished 16th and won the bronze medal in the national ranking with the Eritrean team. After missing the finals in the 5000 meter run at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin , he finished fifth at the World Half Marathon Championships in Birmingham with a time of 1:00:17 h.
At the 2010 Cross Country World Championships in Bydgoszcz, Tsegay took fifth place and won the silver medal in the national ranking with the Eritrean team. He also finished fifth at the 2010 World Half Marathon Championships in Nanning and won silver with the Eritrean team.
