San Colombano al Lambro (wine)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Italian white and red wines (also called frizzante ) are produced in the Lombardy region under the name San Colombano al Lambro DOC (or simply San Colombano DOC ) . The wines have had the status of a "controlled designation of origin " ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC) since 1984 , which was last updated on March 7, 2014. Viticulture in San Colombano al Lambro has been documented since 600. In the statutes of the community of August 1, 1374, Bianca von Savoyen , mother of Gian Galeazzo Visconti , described requirements for viticulture and can be regarded as forerunners of modern wine laws.
