The municipality is located 35 km southeast of Milan , 12 km southwest of Lodi and 23 km east of Pavia . Sant'Angelo Lodigiano lies in a loop of the Lambro River in Basso Lodigiano , the fertile plain between the lower reaches of the Adda and the Po .
