San Miguel Arcangel (Alastuey)
The Roman Catholic parish church of San Miguel Arcángel in Alastuey , a district of the municipality of Bailo in the Spanish province of Huesca in the autonomous community of Aragon , was built in the 12th century.
architecture
The church, consecrated to the Archangel Michael , is a late Romanesque building made of stone . The church has a nave and a semicircular choir , both of which are covered with stone slabs. The apse is adorned on the outside with a scroll frieze. The rectangular tower was probably increased in later times. It has sound arcades on two sides on its upper floor . An open vestibule is located in front of the arched portal on the south side .
A Romanesque baptismal font has been preserved from the original furnishings .
