One-year interlude in the Premier League

Sandor Torghelle moved abroad for the 2004/05 season. His new club was Crystal Palace , which had previously been promoted to the Premier League . He made his debut for his new club on August 14, 2004, after starting the first day of the 2004/05 Premier League season . Torghelle could not really establish itself in the period that followed. So he was often not in the squad. The season didn't go well for his club either. So at the end of the direct relegation. Sandor Torghelle could only book 12 appearances at the end of the season.

Two years in Greece

Torghelle left the club and joined PAO in 2005. After he was not on 28 August 2005 for the match on the opening day against arch-rivals OFSP in the squad, he made his debut until September 11, 2005, when he on Matchday 2 against Ionikos Nikea in the 68th minute for Emmanuel Olisadebe substitute has been. He also played in the Champions League for the Athenians . So he was used in five group games. Torghelle also played a part in the 2-1 win in the second group game against Werder Bremen when he prepared both goals for the Athenians. Still, his time at PAO was disappointing overall. He was only used 11 times in the league. After a year in the Greek capital, Torghelle fled again and signed with PAOK Saloniki . There he was used in 23 games (one goal).

Four years in the second division in Germany

In Germany, Torghelle was initially under contract with FC Carl Zeiss Jena , which played in the 2nd Bundesliga at the time . After Jena's relegation to the 3rd division , he moved - together with Jena-based Tobias Werner and goalkeeper Wassili Chomutowski - to FC Augsburg , where he signed a contract until 2010. In 2010 Torghelle and Augsburg just missed promotion to the Bundesliga . After the FCA took third place in regular match operations , they failed in the relegation at 1. FC Nürnberg .

The following season he signed a two-year contract with Fortuna Düsseldorf .

At Fortuna, Torghelle's performance fell short of expectations. After failing to take advantage of many scoring opportunities on the first few days of the game and allowing himself to make major mistakes, he was on the bench until further notice. However, he could no longer prevail against more convincing strikers like Thomas Bröker and the two late commitments Sascha Rösler and Ken Ilsø . He scored his only goal in the game against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen (3-0). After the end of the 2010/11 season, coach Norbert Meier said that he no longer planned with Torghelle and recommended that he look for a new club. On August 17, 2011, Fortuna and Torghelle mutually agreed to terminate the contract.

Return to Hungary

For the 2011/12 season Torghelle moved to his home club Honvéd Budapest . Between January 2012 and June 2014 he played for Videoton FC , then moved back to MTK Budapest .
