Sandra Nurmsalu

Sandra Nurmsalu (born December 6, 1988 ) is an Estonian singer and violinist . As the singer of the band Urban Symphony , she represented Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow and took sixth place in the final.

Life and music

Sandra Nurmsalu attended school in Alavere ( Anija rural community in Harju County ). In 2007 she took part in the young music show Kaks takti ette on the Estonian public television channel ETV . In summer 2008 she graduated from the renowned Georg Ots Music School in Tallinn as a pop and jazz singer.

Sandra Nurmsalu lives with her former gymnastics teacher Tarmo Kase, who is six years her senior. The two have had a daughter since July 2010.
