Sandra Pianalto

Sandra Pianalto (born August 4, 1954 in Valli del Pasubio , Vicenza province ) is an Italian- born American economist and banker . From 2003 to May 31, 2014, she was President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland .

Life

Sandra Pianalto, who comes from Italy, completed an undergraduate degree in economics at the University of Akron after attending school , which she completed in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (BA Economics). She completed another postgraduate degree in economics at George Washington University with a Master of Arts in Economics (MA Economics).

After serving on the staff of the US House of Representatives Committee on Budgets , Sandra Pianalto joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland in 1983 as a research economist. She became Assistant Vice President Public Relations in 1984 and Vice President in 1988, before serving as First Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland from 1993 to 2003 .

On February 1, 2003, Sandra Pianalto successor to Jerry L.
