Sandra Trostel

Sandra Trostel (born March 27, 1976 in Baden-Württemberg ) is a German filmmaker and film editor .

Professional background

After graduating from high school, Sandra Trostel moved to Hamburg in 1996 , where she initially did internships in advertising. From 1997 to 2000 she worked as a junior editor and in the post-production of commercials . From 2000 she was an editor for commercials and music videos. From 2001 to 2002 she did a postgraduate course at the International Film School in Cologne . From 2016 to 2019, she completed the Next Level master’s course at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences .

Works

Trostel began working on her own documentary film projects in 2008 , for example directing concert recordings for the band Deichkind . Your film Utopia Ltd. About the Hamburg band 1000 Robota , which emerged over the course of three years, the German Cinema Perspective opened at the Berlinale in 2011 . In this and the following projects Everybody's Cage and All Creatures Welcome , a documentary about the Chaos Computer Club , she was responsible for the production , script , direction and editing . All Creatures Welcome was financed through crowdfunding and is now freely accessible on the Internet.
