Sandro da Silva Mendonça with short name Sandro (born October 1, 1983 in Fortaleza ) is a Brazilian football player .

Club career

Sandro da Silva Mendonça started his professional foot career at Paraná Clube . From here he moved to the Turkish first division club Gençlerbirliği during the winter break of the 2006/07 season . He started the new season at Gençlerbirliği, but was loaned to Gençlerbirliği OFTAŞ to the other first division club from Ankara after the third match day of the season . At the end of the season, his loan to Gençlerbirliği Oftaş was extended for another year. In 2009/10 he returned to Gençlerbirliği and played for one season.

In the summer of 2010 his contract expired and he left Turkey for his Brazilian homeland. Here he played in succession for Coritiba FC and Avaí FC .

During the 2010/11 winter break, he returned to the Süper Lig with a move to Sivasspor . His contract, which expired in summer 2012, was not extended.
