The Sanna is a fisheries research vessel from the Greenland Institute Grønlands Nature Institute in Nuuk .

The ship was for about 50 million DKK under the hull number 416 on the shipyard Karstensens Skibsværft in Skagen built. The delivery took place on March 14, 2012. The ship was christened on April 14, 2012 in Nuuk. The ship is named after Sedna , the Inuit sea ​​goddess . It replaced the research ship Adolf Jensen , built in 1967 .

The design of the ship comes from the Danish company OSK-ShipTech.

The ship is primarily intended for fisheries research, but can also be used in other disciplines such as climate and environmental research. It is suitable for different fishing methods such as B. Trawling and longline fishing designed. The main area of ​​operation of the ship is the west coast of Greenland.

Technical data and equipment
