Sansevieria masoniana is a species of plant in the genus Sansevieria in the asparagus family (Asparagaceae). The specific epithet honors the farmer and collector of succulent plants Maurice L. Mason (1912–1993) from Norfolk in the east of England .
description
Sansevieria masoniana grows stemless as a perennial , succulent plant with rhizomes up to 4 centimeters thick . The one to two leaves per shoot are upright. They are leathery and lanceolate. The simple leaf blade is up to 100 centimeters long and up to 18 centimeters wide. It runs out in the tip of a spreader and is cloudy grayish, green with lighter spots. The edges are fibrous and maroon. The leaf surface is rough.
The single- eared inflorescences are up to 53 centimeters long. They have a light green stem with purple lines. The grapes are pretty close together. They are occupied with one to two flowers per clump. The bracts are greenish white. The flower tube is 26 to 30 millimeters long. It measures 3 millimeters in diameter at the base and is expanded to 4 millimeters at the mouth.

Sansevieria masoniana is common in Central Africa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo . The original location is not known. Sansevieria masoniana was cultivated under the cultivar name Mason Congo for many years .
