Sansevieria pinguicula is a species of plant in the genus Sansevieria in the asparagus family (Asparagaceae). The specific epithet pinguicula means '(Latin pinguis) fat, thick (Latin culus) belonging', which obviously refers to the leaves of the species.
description
Sansevieria pinguicula grows as a perennial, succulent plant with partly above-ground runners, which are often referred to as stilt roots and can be up to 8 centimeters long. The 5 to 7 thick-fleshed and rossettig and blue-green leaves are cylindrical in shape with a deep groove on the top and 2 to 7 narrow grooves on the underside. They are covered with a thick layer of wax. The simple leaf blade is 12 to 30 inches long and 2.8 to 3.5 inches wide. It is gradually narrowed towards the thorny spreader tip. It is green with a brown border. The leaf surface is slightly rough.
The panicle inflorescences are 15 to 32 centimeters high. The panicles are occupied with four to six flowers per tuft. The flower stalk is 1.5 to 2 millimeters long. The flower tube is 4 to 5 millimeters long. The bracts are small and brown. The flowers themselves produce relatively few spherical berries with even fewer seeds .

Sansevieria pinguicula is common in the hottest regions of Kenya on sandy plains with open bushland.
