Santa Caterina is a fraction of the municipality of Pergine Valsugana in Trentino , Santa Caterina is located in the southwest of the municipality of Pergine on the border with the municipality of Altopiano della Vigolana , at 630 m slm , above Lake Caldonazzo , 2 km south of Valcanover on the eastern slope of the Marzola .
In 2007 there were 80 residents in Santa Caterina; Since some houses were abandoned in the 1960s and fell into disrepair, the village square was built in their place in the 1970s. The hamlets Maso Vigabona (523 m), Maso Canela (560 m), Maso Begher (705 m), Maso Pergher (757 m) and Maso Eccher (809 m) belong to the group.

The village church, consecrated to the eponymous Catherine of Alexandria , was built around 1900 and in 1922 by Agostino Aldi from Mantua , and in 1993 the church was restored. The altarpiece by Pietro Verdini was made to replace the original, more recently, that had been stolen.
