The Santa Cruz Cemetery

The Santa Cruz Cemetery is located in Suco Bemori on Av. Audian , southeast of the center of the East Timorese capital Dili .

The path to the small chapel in the western part of the cemetery is paved with small, white and black stones in the Portuguese style. The stones and craftsmen who paved the way came from Portugal. They built in leftover material that was originally intended for the independence monument.
