Sara Isaksson

Sara Cecilia Isaksson (born February 19, 1971 in Borås ) is a Swedish jazz and pop singer.

Isaksson, who was brought on stage by Mikis Theodorakis at the age of 16 , studied at the Royal Stockholm University of Music until she graduated in 1994 . She then worked as a professional singer. In 1995 she released her solo album Red Eden , which was dedicated to country rock and reached number 24 on the Swedish charts; Walking Through and By followed in 1996 . Isaksson then recorded two albums with the band Gloria , in which she shared the vocal parts with Rebecka Törnqvist , Gloria (1999) and People Like You and Me (2003), which also reached number 13 and 26 on the Swedish album charts. A first collaborative album followed in 2002 with the pianist Anders Widmark , with which she received number 2 in the Swedish jazz charts for weeks. The follow-up album Pool of Happiness became a top 10 hit in Sweden. She also worked with Lars Winnerbäck and The Perishers .
