Sarah Basem Najem Abu Sajah (born October 27, 1999 in Düsseldorf ) is a soccer player who has both Jordanian and German citizenship.

Career

Abu Sabbah played for the youth teams of FCR 2001 Duisburg from 2010 to 2013 , before moving to the youth department of SGS Essen in summer 2013 . In the 2014/15 season she competed with Essen's B-Juniors in the Bundesliga West / Southwest , scored eleven goals in 17 appearances and also won the association cup with the team . For the following 2015/16 season, she moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen , where she has also played in the B-Juniorinnen-Bundesliga, but also trains regularly with the Bundesliga team. On March 20, 2016, she was in the matchday squad for the first time for the game against 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam . In the 0: 6 away defeat there, she came on for Francesca Weber in the 90th minute , making her debut in Germany's top division. After 27 games and 25 goals for Bayer 04 Leverkusen II, she moved to Allianz Frauen-Bundesliga newly promoted Borussia Mönchengladbach in June 2018 .

Abu Sabbah was part of the squad of the Jordanian U-17 national team, which took part in the home World Cup in autumn 2016 . There she scored the only goal of Jordan in the course of the tournament in the 1: 4 defeat against Mexico. In September 2017 she made her debut in a friendly against Latvia in the Jordanian national team .
