Sarah Trowbridge

Sarah Trowbridge (born September 27, 1982 in Washington, DC ) is a former rower from the United States.

Athletic career

Sarah Trowbridge, who is 1.73 m tall, began rowing in 2000. In 2008 she started at the world championships in the non-Olympic boat classes in Linz / Ottensheim together with Karen Colwell , Stesha Carle and Esther Lofgren in a four without helmsman and won the silver medal behind the boat from Belarus. In 2009 Trowbridge switched to the double fours . At the World Championships in Poznan won Megan Walsh , Stesha Carle, Sarah Trowbridge and Kathleen Bertko the silver medal behind the Ukrainians. The following year, the double foursome from the United States started with the line-up of Margot Shumway , Sarah Trowbridge, Megan Kalmoe and Natalie Dell , the crew finished fifth at the World Championships on Lake Karapiro . In 2011 Sarah Trowbridge and Kathleen Bertko took second place in the double scull at the World Cup in Munich. At the World Championships in Bled , the two Americans rowed to ninth place. In 2012 Margot Shumway and Sarah Trowbridge qualified for the Olympic Games in Lucerne. At the Olympic regatta in Eton , the two reached the finals and took sixth place.
