Stesha Carle

Stesha Carle (born December 2, 1984 ) is a former American rower who won three silver medals at world championships.

Athletic career

In 2002, Stesha Carle finished third at the Junior World Championships with the American eighth . In 2005 she won the foursome without a helmsman at the U23 World Championships together with Catherine Starr, Megan Kalmoe and Erin Cafaro . In 2006, she and Ellen Tomek took fourth place in the two without a helmsman .

In 2008 she started at the world championships in the non-Olympic boat classes in Linz / Ottensheim together with Karen Colwell , Sarah Trowbridge and Esther Lofgren in a four without helmsman and won the silver medal behind the boat from Belarus. In 2009 Carle switched to the double fours . At the World Championships in Poznan won Megan Walsh , Stesha Carle, Sarah Trowbridge and Kathleen Bertko the silver medal behind the Ukrainians. In 2010, Carle and Bertko finished fifth in a double scull at the World Championships on Lake Karapiro . In 2011 Carle returned to the quadruple scull. Stesha Carle, Natalie Dell , Adrienne Martelli and Megan Kalmoe achieved second place behind the Germans at the World Championships in Bled .

Stesha Carle competed in the Rowing World Cup every year from 2012 to 2014 , she was not used at the respective season highlight.
