Sarah Kathleen Webb , after marriage Sarah Kathleen Gosling , OBE (born January 13, 1977 in Weybridge ) is a former British sailor .

successes

Sarah Webb took part in the Yngling boat class twice in Olympic Games . At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens she immediately became Olympic champion when she and Sarah Ayton took first place as a crew member of helmsman Shirley Robertson . After ten out of eleven races, they were already determined ahead of time as the winners and finished the regatta with 39 total points ahead of the Ukrainian and Danish boats. Also in 2008 in Beijing Webb secured the gold medal. Ayton acted as helmsman this time, while Pippa Wilson completed the crew. Thanks to 24 points, they came first ahead of the Dutch and Greek women. In 2007 in Cascais and 2008 in Miami , Webb, Ayton and Wilson won the title at the World Championships , and in 2008 they also became European champions together.

After Webb had already been named a member of the Order of the British Empire for her Olympic success in 2004 , she received the Officer's Cross at the end of 2008 . She has been married since 2009 and has one child (* 2010).
