Sarah Wynter

Sarah Wynter (born February 15, 1973 in Newcastle , New South Wales ) is an Australian actress .

Life and accomplishments

Wynter is a granddaughter of the first female mayor of an Australian city. She played her first major role in the SF thriller Species II from 1998. She also took on a major role - alongside Winona Ryder and Ben Chaplin - in the horror film Lost Souls from 2000.

Wynter played in the biography The Wind Bride (2001) the lead role of the wife of Gustav Mahler ( Jonathan Pryce ). In 2002 and 2003 she appeared in 25 episodes of the television series 24 . This role brought her in 2003 nominations for the Cinescape Genre Face of the Future Award of the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films and - together with several other participants - for the Screen Actors Guild Award .

Wynter was featured on Stuff magazine's 102 Sexiest Women In The World list in 2002 . She has been married since 2005, lives in Baltimore, and has a son born in January 2008.
