Saratoga is a city in Santa Clara County in the US state California with around 29,900 inhabitants (as of 2010).
Saratoga is located on the west side of the Santa Clara Valley , in the San Francisco Bay Area. The urban area covers an area of 31.4 square kilometers.
Demographics
According to the 2010 census , 29,926 people lived in the city. The population rose within ten years, namely since the 2000 census , by less than 100, which is comparatively (with California or the USA as a whole) only a weak increase. The majority of the population consisted of whites with a share of 53 percent. Citizens of Asian descent, who make up around 40 percent of the population, are represented above average. The high number of Latinos in the rest of California is not reached in Saratoga, their share of the city population is only 3.5 percent. Also, African Americans and other populations are a minority. The number of households was 10,734 according to the 2010 census. For every 100 women there were 95.7 men while the median age of the population was 47.8 years.
