Saritschtschja ( Ukrainian Заріччя ; Russian Заречье Saretschje , Polish Bałamutówka ) is a village in the south of the Ukrainian Oblast Zhytomyr with about 2100 inhabitants (2001).
The village with an area of 3,756 square kilometers belongs administratively to the settlement council community Ruzhyn in Rajon Ruzhyn . The Paraskewska Church, a wooden church built in 1740, is located in Saritschtschja.
The village is located at an altitude of 217 m on the bank of the Rostawyzja ( Роставиця ), a 116 km long left tributary of the Ros . On the opposite bank is the community and district center Ruschyn, the Oblast center Zhytomyr is 83 km north-west of Saritschtschja.
The T-06-06 territorial road runs through the village .
