Sascha Amstätter (born November 8, 1977 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a former German football player, today's coach .

Career

Amstätter began his football career in 1981 with TSG 51 Frankfurt and also played in his youth from 1983 to 1988 for Germania Ginnheim, from 1988 to 1991 for Viktoria Preußen Frankfurt and from 1991 to 1994 for Kickers Offenbach . After moving to FSV Frankfurt , he played in his last year in the A-Youth in 1995/96 in the then third-class regional league, but could not help prevent relegation to the Oberliga Hessen. In 1997 he moved from fourth division to local rivals Eintracht Frankfurt , where he was used three times in the 1997/98 season in the second division . After the rise of Eintracht he belonged - after he had won his place with an injunction - in the Bundesliga squad of Frankfurt, but was only allowed to play in the Bundesliga twice in the 1998/99 season. For the following season Amstätter moved to KFC Uerdingen 05 , a year later he was active for the first time for SV Wehen . For half a year he went to SV Darmstadt 98 in the second half of the 2001/02 season , but returned to SV Wehen. In November 2006, Amstätter suffered a tendon injury in his foot that put him out of action for six months. He made his comeback in the 1-0 win against the Stuttgarter Kickers on May 5, 2007. In the nine years with the Taunusstein, he was playmaker and leading figure of the team, despite frequent injuries he was also the team's captain until 2009 and scored in 226 games 23 goals in the second division, third division and regional division. In the 2009/10 season, however, he was only used four times in the third division team and mostly played in the second team. At the end of the season there was a dispute between Amstätter and the club about the term of his contract, which was settled out of court. The contract ended retrospectively on June 30, 2010.

In August 2010, moved back to Amstätter SV Darmstadt 98 in the Regionalliga South , with whom he in 2011 rose to the third league. For Darmstadt 98 he then completed 17 third division games.

From July 2012 Amstätter acted as player-coach at SV Wiesbaden 1899 . With the club he won the championship of the Association League in the 2012/13 season and rose to the Hessen League . In the 2013/14 season he gave up the coaching position, but continued to play for the club until the summer of 2015. He then became assistant coach of the Wiesbaden league team. During the 2015/16 winter break, he terminated his contract and accepted SV Zeilsheim's offer to become the head coach of the group league table leader . Under his direction, the team remained unbeaten, won 13 games from 14 games and was promoted to the association league at the end of the season.

Private

Amstätter has been the father of twins since July 19, 2006.
