The foundation and two world wars (1912-1944)

The club was founded on June 7, 1919 as 1. FC 1919 Zeilsheim . At that time it had 20 members. In doing so, he succeeded 1. FC Zeilsheim , which had already been founded in 1912, but which was dissolved again in 1914 after the outbreak of the First World War . Game operations came to a standstill from 1925 to 1927 due to the French occupation and the associated restrictions in the infrastructure. After the incorporation into the city of Frankfurt, the football department continued to play in 1928 and the company was promoted to the B-class. In the following season, he was promoted to the A-class. After the outbreak of the Second World War , Zeilsheim was able to keep gaming operations going. In 1941 the club even rose to the main league . As a result of pressure from the National Socialist apparatus of power, the football club was merged with the other local sports clubs to form a large club, and 1. FC Zeilsheim was deleted from the club register.

Post-war period (1945-1969)

After the brief ban after the end of the war by the French occupiers , the Zeilsheim sports club was able to secure the championship in the A-class Main-Taunus ahead of SV Flörsheim at the end of the 1947/48 season . Thus, the team rose to the district league, where they took part in the game operation in the 1948/49 season. They played there for seven seasons. After relegation from the district class in 1955, the championship in the A-class was again achieved at the end of the 1957/58 season. In 1964, the table tennis department that still exists today was added to the club. The women's gymnastics department founded in 1970 would then only exist until 2002.

District level football (1970-1998)

At the beginning of the 1970s, the footballers succeeded again and again in the championship and, in connection with it, promotion to the district league. The 1968 Boule Club also joined the club in 1973 . In the years to come, he held several national and European championships. This department no longer exists today. The footballers then went back to the A-class in 1974. In 1980, the company was relegated to the B-Class. After a sporty downturn in the 1980s, it went back to the district class in 1992, but a year later it went straight down again. In 1997 the championship and the associated return to the district class succeeded.

Elevator team and league promotion (1999 - present)

Two years later, he was promoted to the regional league. Finally, at the end of the 2000/01 season, the championship was won again. The team then rose to the state league. There the class could then be held until the 2003/04 season, after which the relegation was due again with 32 points over 14th place. At 71, however, the Wiesbaden regional league finally won the championship again after the 2005/06 season. For the 2008/09 season, the Landesliga became the Association League Hessen. After the 2010/11 season it was only enough for 15th place, which meant the club had to participate in the relegation. However, they couldn't prevail there and ended up in last place with only one point. So it went back to the following season in the meanwhile group league called division. At the end of the 2014/15 season, he finished second with 65 points ahead of TSG Wörsdorf .
