The FC Eddersheim (officially football club in 1931 Eddersheim eV ) is a sports club from Hattersheim am Main in Main-Taunus-Kreis . The first soccer team played in the fifth class Hessenliga in the 2012/13 season .
history
The association was founded on December 12, 1931 in the restaurant Zum Taunus . After many years at the district level, he was promoted to the Wiesbaden district league for the first time in 1971. In the following years the FCE became the elevator team between the district and district league. In 1996 he was promoted to the Wiesbaden regional league, before jumping into the central regional league six years later . In 2007 the team reached the promotion round to the Oberliga Hessen as runner-up, but failed there because of Rot-Weiss Frankfurt . Two years later, the FCE was again runner-up and failed in the Hessenliga relegation at SVA Bad Hersfeld . Only in 2012 succeeded in the third attempt, the promotion to the highest Hessian amateur league , which was followed by immediate relegation. In 2018, the team returned to the Hessenliga as championship league champions.
Stadion
The home arena is the sports field on Mönchhofstrasse. In 2014, the construction of a new artificial turf pitch begins to further strengthen the club's infrastructure. The club will then have a natural grass pitch and an artificial grass pitch.
