Sascha Kotysch (born October 2, 1988 in Kirchheimbolanden ) is a German football player . Kotysch is a central defender and was also used on the right defensive side and in the defensive midfield .
Career
society
In 2000, Kotysch moved from SV Gauersheim to the youth team at 1. FC Kaiserslautern . For the 2006/07 season he moved up to the second team of 1. FCK and soon came to appearances in the professional team. At the end of April 2009 he broke his fibula during training and after his comeback in the second team in September 2009 injured his fibula again, whereupon an operation was performed. From February 2010 he was able to play again and came to some missions for the second team. Kotysch completed a total of 43 games in the 2nd Bundesliga , in which he failed to score. In May 2010, Kotysch rejected an offer from 1. FC Kaiserslautern to extend the contract.
On September 3, 2010 he was signed by the Belgian first division club VV St. Truiden . He initially signed a two-year contract with an option for another year. In 2012 he was relegated with his club, the promotion was successful in 2015. Due to an injury, Kotysch had to pause from February to December 2015. After that he was mostly a regular again until 2018. After only making one appearance in the first half of the 2018/19 season, he moved to the second division Oud-Heverlee Leuven in January 2019 .
National team
Kotysch played for the German U-19 and U-20 national team.
