Sascha Panknin

Sascha Panknin (born March 19, 1967 in Hamburg ) is a German music producer and musician .

biography

After various engagements as bassist with drummer McCoy (later SUN Project ), Sascha Panknin co-founded the Hamburg acid jazz and jazz radio band DisJam in 1991 .

The six-member formation made a name for themselves in Germany, Switzerland and Austria through club concerts and the release of their debut album on Yo Mama Records (1994) and was then hired as the backing band of Die Fantastischen Vier in the mid-1990s . DisJam toured frequently with Die Fantastischen Vier and appear on their albums Lauschgift and Live and direkt .

In 1999 Sascha Panknin founded the music label 5000 Records and has been working in Hamburg and London since 2000.
