Sascha Rabe (born October 31, 1985 in Berlin ) is a German figure skater .

biography

Sascha Rabe is an ice dancer . From 2000 to 2006 he ran with Rina Thieleke . He starts for the Berlin TSC. His trainer is the former multiple German ice dancing champion Hendryk Schamberger . In the 2004/2005 season you also worked together with the trainers Anschelika Krylowa (Russian ice dance world champion 1998 and 1999) and Pasquale Camerlengo (former Italian national champion in ice dancing). Pasquale Camerlengo was the couple's choreographer until 2006.

Sascha Rabe successfully passed his Abitur at Coubertin Gymnasium in Berlin-Pankow in June 2006 . He then completed his community service in the Sankt Gertrauden Hospital in Berlin-Wilmersdorf . Since 2007 he has been studying at the Humboldt University in Berlin . Rina Thieleke ended her ice dancing career in 2006 due to an injury. Since then, Sascha Rabe ran with Tanja Kolbe . In 2012 Sascha Rabe ended his active figure skating career. From then on he studies pedagogy .

In March 2009, Sascha Rabe raised allegations of sexual assault against the sports director of the German Ice Skating Union , Udo Dönsdorf . The lawsuit was dismissed in January 2011.
