Sascha Stemberg

Sascha Stemberg (born June 19, 1979 in Velbert ) is a German chef.

Career

Sascha Stemberg is the fifth generation chef at Haus Stemberg .

After training at the nearby Gasthof Kuhs in Heiligenhaus , Stemberg went to Hans-Peter Wodarz and his Pomp-Duck-Circumstances in Düsseldorf in 1999 and to Günter Scherrer's restaurant Victorian in Düsseldorf (a Michelin star ). In 2000 he began his community service as a cook in the rehabilitation clinic in Hattingen . In 2002 he moved to Peter Nöthel's restaurant Hummerstübchen in Düsseldorf (one Michelin star) and in 2003 to the Hotel Paradis in Mauritius .

In 2003 he came back to Haus-Stemberg at home in 1864 in Velbert and became head chef in 2004. The restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in 2014.
