Saskia Hummel
Saskia Hummel (born Borst, born September 16, 1972 in Lima , Peru ) is a German karateka . In 1993 she became world champion in the WSKA world association in Shōtōkan style . She is multiple German champion and holder of the 2nd Dan Shōtōkan .
Sporting development
Hummel began in 1987 in Reutlingen with the Shotokan karate. She already competed in her first successful competitions in 1988. In 1990 she moved to the SKD (Sport-Karate-Dojo) Rottenburg. Here she was able to train with other high-class karatekas. Each of their training partners was a participant in a German or international championship. In addition, Rottenburg started in the karate Bundesliga at this time . She was appointed to the national team by national karate trainer Toni Dietl from 1991 to 1996 . Her particular strengths were her fearless fighting spirit, her stamina and the Gyakuzuki jodan . He was so strong that injuries to training partners and opponents were inevitable. In 2015 she started again at the German championships of the age group over 30 in Ludwigsburg . Here she became German vice-champion in the master class.
