Toni Dietl

Toni Dietl (born April 2, 1961 in Würzburg ) is a German karateka ( 7th Dan ), non-fiction author and former national trainer in the DKV . He is the founder of the Martial Arts College (previously: Karate College) and head of the Bodensee karate team, one of the largest dōjōs in Germany. According to the Guinness Book of Records from 1990, Toni Dietl is the best Kumite player in Germany. He received the silver laurel leaf from Federal President Richard von Weizsäcker . Between 1980 and 1992 he was the leader in the world rankings of the WKF . Toni Dietl has also been World President for Karate in the WKU (World Kickboxing and Karate Union) since 2012 .

Career

Dietl began in 1975 in the Dōjō Radolfzell with karate . In 1979 he passed his first Dan exam. After acquiring the C, B and A examiner licenses, he studied from 1986 to 1988 at the German Sport University in Cologne , where he was the best in the course. In 1990 he became Baden-Württemberg regional coach and in 1993 national coach women. From 2001 to 2007 he was the head national coach at the DKV. In 2008 he passed his 6th Dan exam. Under his leadership, Radolfzell and Ravensburg became the largest dōjōs in Baden-Württemberg. He introduced sound karate in the DKV in 2002. This was followed by the open style of karate and in 2004 he introduced the Junior Dan in Germany . In 2007 he founded the Martial Arts Association Karate Kollegium . In 2013 the karate college had almost 30,000 members in professional karate schools. In 2012 he also became world president of the WKU . According to the Munzinger archive , Toni Dietl shaped the sport of karate in Germany like no other before or after him . In September 2013 Toni Dietl was tested in his knowledge in front of an examination committee in Berlin and he was able to successfully pass the 7th Dan Karate test. On September 1, 2014, he received his doctorate in science from the European University Belgrade with a focus on international management. In August 2014, after years of planning, he opened his new Dōjō in Friedrichshafen .
