history

In 2007 the karate association was founded by Toni Dietl , Hans-Peter Wiegert , Roland Schellhammer , Nadine Joachim , Christine Moosherr and Werner Bührer. The purpose was to found an association for professional martial arts schools. The target group of the martial arts college are therefore large dojos and newly founded martial arts schools. To support these schools, Dan exams, training courses, advanced training courses and seminars are offered several times a year. Especially the advice of dojo start-ups and the trainer training are of great importance in the structure of the martial arts college. Instructors, martial arts trainers and professional trainers for competitive sports are trained. In addition, the training and education of referees up to and including world referees for the WKU World Championships has been a further focus in recent years . Immediately after its foundation in 2007, the Martial Arts College merged with the World Martial Arts Association WKU . As a result of this cooperation, karate and kickboxing world championships are also held in the WKU today. The WKU world championships are broadcast live via SAT.1 and SPORT1 . The association is one of the fastest growing martial arts organizations in Europe. The martial arts college was not founded on a club basis, but as a limited partnership . In December 2015 the name of the association was changed from Karate Kollegium to Martial Arts College and the association's headquarters were moved to Dresden. Since December 7, 2015, the martial arts college has been certified as an educational institution according to DIN ISO 29990 . Martial arts schools from Germany , Switzerland and Austria are represented in the Martial Arts College .

Samurai Kids System

In addition to training young people and adults, one focus of martial arts training is on children. Nadine Joachim and Toni Dietl developed the "Samurai Kids" teaching system for this purpose . In 2013, over 10,000 annual visual stamps were issued for children alone. It is mainly about motivating and encouraging the children. The aim is to accompany the children up to the black belt ( Dan ). The goal is not the elite selection , but the meaningful encouragement and support of the children. So Toni Dietl has been a national coach of the Black Belt established for children in karate. With the Samurai Kids System, the entire children's education has been redesigned. The lessons are now divided into the following teaching units: fitness part, safety part, kumite part and the blocks of four.
