The Sasse (in the upper reaches: Ravin de la Piche ) is a mountain river in France that runs in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region . It rises in the Provençal Alps , on the northern flank of the Tête Grosse (2032 m) in the municipality of Selonnet , near the Chabanon ski station , generally drains in a south-westerly direction and, after around 39 kilometers, flows into the Durance as a left tributary in the municipality of Valernes .
