Satellite Awards / Humanitarian Award
The Humanitarian Award , based on the Auteur Award , is a special award of the International Press Academy (IPA) for exceptional, sustainable achievements and is given for special, social commitment outside the film industry. The trophy is also visually similar to the Auteur Award and was also created as such by the Dalmatian sculptor Ante Marinović.
Unlike the other Satellite Awards, whose winners are nominated by members of the IPA with voting rights, the winners of the Humanitarian Award are determined by the Board of Directors and the chairman of the IPA.
