Geographical location

The Sauberg is located south of Breitenbrunn in the Saxon Ore Mountains between the small and large Ortsbach . It was named after the wild boars that often caused great damage to the adjacent agricultural fields.

history

The Sauberg was a popular location for the Elector of Saxony's hunts. A total of 397 large game were shot here in 1665 . The mountain can also look back on a long mining history.
