Save Ferris was an American ska band that existed from 1995 to 2002. The name of the band comes from the film Ferris makes blue .

Band history

The singer of the band was Monique Powell. After a first EP , the band was signed by Epic Records . There the album It Means Everything was released in 1997 , which reached number 75 on the Billboard 200 . Save Ferris were viewed as a copy of the previously successful band No Doubt .

The following year, the group appeared in the film 10 Things I Hate About You . In the autumn of 1999, when drummer Evan Kilbourne had meanwhile switched from death metal band Mindrot to Save Ferris, Epic released the album Modified , which again made it into the charts, but was less successful than its predecessor at 136th.

The group broke up in 2002, but Powell then toured under his own name and with two Save Ferris members, playing material from the band.
