Scenarist is a professional authoring software for DVDs and Blu-rays and has been the worldwide de facto standard for data carrier productions in the film and music industry since 1995 . The current versions are Scenarist SD (for DVDs) as well as Scenarist BD Professional and Scenarist BD Professional Plus for BDs . In addition to DTS: X , the 3D surround sound format from DTS, Scenarist also supports Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio up to 7.1 surround sound . In September 2015, Scenarist introduced support for Ultra HD Blu-rays at the International Broadcasting Convention in Amsterdam .

In contrast to many other authoring programs, Scenarist fully supports all possibilities of the DVD and BD-Video standards, which means that it can be assigned to the professional sector. The respective program suites include a. The Adobe Photoshop - plug-in Scenarist Designer PS with graphic templates for exporting HDMV graphics (High Definition Movie Mode, 8 bit Blu-ray standard 256-color) as well as BD-J graphics (24-bit True Color ) for the menu the BD. With Scenarist BD-J one is Eclipse platform for further Java -based creation of the graphical menu guidance provided.
